The Palais des Congrès in Yaoundé was abuzz on Friday, February 27, 2026, with the Cameroonian Ballon d'Or ceremony. The event recognized the most outstanding performers of the 2024-2025 sports season. A total of 19 trophies were awarded, covering various categories of local football.
Serge Daura was crowned Cameroonian Ballon d'Or 2025 for men. Lys Fraîche Tiwa, on the other hand, was distinguished in the Guinness Super League. In addition to these two leading figures, 17 other Cameroonian football players had their performances recognized during this season.
The ceremony was held with great pomp, in the presence of the First Lady of Cameroon, Chantal Biya. Also present were the President of the Cameroonian Football Federation (Fecafoot), members of the government, as well as diplomatic representatives accredited to Yaoundé.
The event was marked by an atmosphere of emotion and celebration of Cameroonian football. Fecafoot took the opportunity to highlight the talent and dedication of the players, coaches and other actors who contribute to the development of the sport in the country.
