Aïcha Kamoise Case: Travel Ban Lifted, Returns to France
Cameroon News

Aïcha Kamoise, known as "the queen of the savanna lions", has left Cameroon for France, following the lifting of her travel ban. This measure was initially imposed as part of the legal proceedings against her by Steven Nbienou.

Information relayed by several sources indicates that Aïcha Kamoise was able to return to France to be reunited with her children. This lifting of the ban comes after her provisional release. However, her trial, initially scheduled for next month, means that the blogger is still expected to appear before the Cameroonian courts in June.

This development has generated numerous reactions on social media. Some internet users believe that this lifting of the ban demonstrates the normal functioning of the Cameroonian justice system. Others speculate that Aïcha Kamoise took advantage of Muriel Blanche's stay in Cameroon to apologize to her, information that the person concerned has neither confirmed nor denied.

The Aïcha Kamoise case against Steven Nbienou began with a defamation complaint filed by the businessman. Her arrest, which took place on April 17, 2026, in Yaoundé, sparked strong reactions, with many denouncing an attack on freedom of expression. Her lawyer, Maître Djemeni Yannick, denounced irregularities in the procedure, in particular concerning the jurisdiction of the court initially seized and the absence of a prior summons.

Despite her return to France, Aïcha Kamoise will therefore have to return to Cameroon for her trial in June. The blogger remains subject to the Cameroonian justice system, and the case is far from over.
